Security and Vigilance everywhere!

To help us prevent fraud here are some tips to help you be safer when you bank online.

We're committed to your security

As part of that commitment, we maintain rigorous fraud controls and stay constantly on alert for any unusual activity on our customers’ accounts.

The security tips below offer helpful info on what you can do — and what we’re doing — to keep your information secure or get help if it ever becomes compromised.

Security tips for consumers

Monitor you account
Be sure to check your accounts often, either via Online Banking, or your statements. If you see any transactions you don’t recognize, call us immediately at (833) 294-4643 or visit our branch in person.

Remember to change passwords
Passwords should be changed frequently. Never share details of your account, including your user name, password, or the answer to security questions, with anyone

Never respond to requests to update personal information
Instead, call the Customer Service number on the back of your card or go directly to the website by typing the address into your browser — never click on a link given in a suspicious email.

Obtain credit reports from each national credit reporting agency
Under federal law, you are entitled to one free copy of your credit report every 12 months from each of the three nationwide credit reporting agencies.

Obtain your free copy at: www.AnnualCreditReport.com or by calling (877) 322-8228. If you discover fraudulent information, ask the credit reporting agency to remove it from your file. You can contact the national credit reporting agencies directly at:

Equifax – (800) 525-6285
Experian – (888) 397-3742
TransUnion – (800) 680-7289

Privacy Policies
We treat your confidential information with the utmost care — whether online or in-person. We also maintain and enforce rigorous, stringent information security programs and privacy policies — with ongoing employee training and updates.

Internal Confidentiality
Access to any nonpublic information about you is limited to only those employees who require the information to provide products and sevices to you.

Internet Protection
Before using any of our online services, you will select or be assigned your own personal password. It is important that you protect this information and never leave it in a place where it could be easily found, such as in a wallet or under a keyboard.

Encrypted Security
Whenever you are online with your bank, your transactions and personal information are secured by powerful encryption software that prevents unauthorized access.

If you have been the victim of identity theft, take these steps:

  • File a police report and call the Federal Trade Commission
  • Contact your banker or local branch
  • Notify any one of the three credit bureau’s fraud units. A single call will place a Security Alert at all three bureaus and will initiate a free credit report from each
  • Establish a password for telephone inquiries on credit card accounts
  • Request a copy of your credit report (free to fraud victims) and consider reviewing copies of your credit report bimonthly until your case is resolved
  • Report any checking account theft to the appropriate check verification companies
  • Check with the post office for unauthorized change of address requests
  • Follow-up with all financial contacts with a letter and keep copies of all correspondence
